A new state, a new house, a tropical storm, what better way to try out a new idea for selecting September’s reading pool? It may only last a month (or two) but I will try concentrating my reading on a few authors. For this month about half of my selections are books I want to read and the other half are authors I want to read more of. This month’s authors are
- Don DeLillo
- Henry James
- Georges Simenon
- Booth Tarkington
The remainder of the authors represent some books I have been carrying too long without reading, some new titles that have piqued my interest, and one or two classics.

Yes, right across from the In-N-Out Burger.
I have a really nice setup here at my daughter’s house in Florida (Go ‘Noles !!!) even though my sunroom is still being constructed. So my life is books and dogs and cats and kids and bugs and vegetables … it should work out fine.
