A few years back I visited an independent bookstore which only offered titles dedicated to overt feminism, lesbian activities, and possibly a few other LGBQ+ issues. Despite being a meat eating grunt, I am fascinated by gender studies and this bookstore was a wonderland.
But what if I was offended by the open display of a more liberal representation of sexuality than I accepted?
In this shop there were no restrictions: No signs, no locked cabinets, no goodies hidden under the counter. Why, any 13 year old boy could come in, giggle and snort over the salacious words on the book covers—Lesbian, Queer, Vagina—and walk out a little bored and hopefully curious.
Is that so bad?
In the previous month I suggested looking into several titles. Anything that should be banned? Governor DeSantis?
