XFX: Jesus Freaks

Somewhere back in the mists of time, around 1964, a revival of interest in Christianity, Jesus, and the last days, developed a movement of Jesus freaks. It is important to remember that in the ’60s “freak” was not a bad word but neutrally descriptive of a pervasive interest, like acid freak or tofu freak. But if we move forward into the current (literary) world of zombies and an interest in Christianity, Jesus, and the last days, the terminology begins to shift and we get Anthony Duza’s Bizarro novel, Jesus Freaks.
