Over at a related weblog site we have started a reading of Edmund Spenser’s The Faerie Queene. This subject came up some months ago and since there were three or four other people interested in reading The Faerie Queene, I decided to start a web log dedicated to the poem and to other literature in that period or other literature that influenced Spenser and The Faerie Queene.
I still haven’t firmed up a method for reading and commenting on The Faerie Queene but I figure it will work itself out, especially with advice from others. I know that there are several excellent sites for The Faerie Queene but they are mostly static information and I hope my web log, although amateurish and a little random will give other readers a friendly opportunity to follow along with the reading and hopefully toss a question or comment into the discussion now and then.
But no matter what, I will be reading The Faerie Queen again this year and hope to make comments about my experience as I go along.
If you’re curious and especially if you’re thinking about joining in on the reading, the site is The Faerie Queene.

Note: The referenced site is no longer being updated but that doesn’t mean you should give up on reading The Faerie Queene.
I haven’t read Spenser in years! I will definitely be following along.
